(Washington-AP) -- The Oklahoma congressional delegation has taken the oath of office and for the first time in four years has a Democratic member.

The 107th Congress was sworn in yesterday en masse by House Speaker Dennis Hastert.

Newly elected Democrat Brad Carson broke ranks with the five Republican members of the state's delegation, voting for a Democrat as House Speaker. But Carson predicts the state's delegation will vote together on most issues.

Carson is one of 41 new members of the U-S House, 13 of whom are Democrats.
