NEW YORK (AP) _ Sure, he's a big star, an Oscar winner, a heartthrob. Matt Damon seems to have it all. He just has no place to sleep.

``I don't own anything,'' he said in the January issue of Talk magazine. ``For the last five years it's been a couple of duffel bags and really, that's it.''

The 30-year-old Damon, who won an Oscar with his best friend Ben Affleck for the screenplay of 1997's ``Good Will Hunting,'' grew up in Cambridge, Mass. But he's been traveling nonstop the past few years, making films including ``Saving Private Ryan, ``The Talented Mr. Ripley,'' ``The Legend of Bagger Vance'' and ``All the Pretty Horses.''

Lately, he's been staying with Affleck in Los Angeles while he waits for his new home to be completed in New York.

``The downside of the last few years is really not being able to ever feel like you belong anywhere,'' Damon said. ``So I just decided to buy a place just so that I had a mental picture, a place where you can put your feet up.''
