(Tulsa-AP) -- An Arkansas man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for shooting a Tulsa restaurant manager during an attempted holdup.

Gregory Alan Burris of Fort Smith was sentenced Monday for trying to rob the restaurant and shooting manager David Bowles. He apologized yesterday to Bowles, saying he did not intend to shoot him, only to rob the restaurant.

Burris pleaded guilty on September First to several felonies, including shooting with intent to kill and attempted armed robbery during the October 1998 incident.
