Street improvement areas which will affect Tulsa traffic include:

OPEN: Both directions of traffic on EAST 46TH STREET/47TH PLACE SOUTH BETWEEN MINGO ROAD AND 86TH EAST AVENUE.

Monday, July 3: INDEPENDENCE STREET WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC AT HUDSON AVENUE for one to two weeks during construction of the intersection.

Next Wednesday, July 5: HARVARD AVENUE AND ADMIRAL PLACE: The two inside northbound lanes of Harvard will be closed just south of Admiral for 10 to 14 days during water line work.

Also next Wednesday, July 5: 51ST STREET SOUTH AT 77TH EAST AVENUE: Traffic will be narrowed to one lane in each direction for 25 days while crews remove the trench grate, resurface the street and install storm sewer inlets.

21ST STREET AT THE BROKEN ARROW EXPRESSWAY: Traffic has been narrowed to one lane in each direction for four to five weeks during construction of a storm sewer and relocation of a water line.

71ST STREET, SHERIDAN ROAD TO YALE AVENUE: The two westbound inside lanes are closed to traffic between Granite and Canton avenues for one to two weeks for landscaping in the center median.

FOURTH PLACE, 94TH EAST AVENUE TO 89TH EAST AVENUE is closed to through traffic for two to three weeks for pavement reconstruction.

EAST 15TH STREET BETWEEN PEORIA AND DENVER AVENUES - Westbound traffic has been narrowed to one lane during sidewalk, curb and gutter repair for about two weeks.

FIRST STREET, PEORIA AVENUE TO TRENTON AVENUE: Street is closed for 30 days for pavement patching and overlay.

SOUTH LEWIS AVENUE, INTERSTATE 44 TO 41ST STREET: Traffic has been narrowed to one northbound lane and one southbound lane for two to three weeks. Construction crews are removing the old asphalt, patching the concrete underneath, and applying a new overlay of asphalt.

61ST STREET AND UNION AVENUE: Crews are installing storm sewers and water lines and building detours for traffic to use during construction. This intersection will be widened to four lanes in each direction, with right- and left-turn lanes. Completion is estimated in five to six months.

TRAFFIC ON SHERIDAN ROAD BETWEEN 71ST AND 81ST STREETS has been shifted to the east side of the street for about two to three months. 76TH STREET is closed at SHERIDAN for one to two weeks. Construction is in progress to widen Sheridan Road to five lanes between 71st and 8lst Streets.

50TH STREET SOUTH AND 67TH EAST AVENUE BETWEEN SHERIDAN ROAD AND 51ST STREET SOUTH are closed to through traffic during street reconstruction for two to three weeks. Business access will be maintained.

81ST STREET AND SHERIDAN ROAD is being widened to four lanes in each direction, plus left- and right-turn lanes.

RIVERSIDE DRIVE, HOUSTON AVENUE TO SOUTHWEST BOULEVARD: Traffic has been limited to northbound only and will remain one-way for about two to three months. Southbound turns are not permitted onto Riverside Drive between and including Houston Avenue and Southwest Boulevard.

61ST STREET, MEMORIAL DRIVE TO SHERIDAN ROAD: Two lanes of traffic are open on 61st Street between 76th East Avenue and South Sheridan Road. All four lanes will be opened after crews finish building a retaining wall. 61st Street is being widened to five lanes (center left-turn lane) between Memorial Drive and Sheridan Road.

41ST STREET OVER THE BROKEN ARROW EXPRESSWAY is closed through August for construction of a new bridge. Through traffic is blocked on 41st Street between Memorial Drive and Mingo Road.
