City of Tulsa Weekly Street Construction Update

Street improvement areas which will affect Tulsa traffic include:

Monday, Dec. 27th: ADMIRAL PLACE BETWEEN SOUTH 129th EAST AVENUE and SOUTH 145th EAST AVENUE will be open to through traffic. Crews are still working on the south half of the intersection of Admiral and 145th, however. On Monday, it will be necessary to block through traffic on 145th East Avenue just south of Admiral Place for 45 -60 days for construction of a storm sewer and widening of the intersection.

Monday, Dec. 27 and Tuesday, Dec. 28th: East 101st Street South will be closed between College and Jamestown Avenues for removal of a storm sewer.

SHERIDAN ROAD, 61st TO 71st STREETS: Paving will be in progress for the next three to four weeks. One say next week, likely Tuesday, a flagman will be directing traffic through the area, causing delays Sheridan Road is being widened to five lanes, including a center left-turn lane.

15th STREET, HARVARD TO URBANA AVENUE: Eastbound traffic is narrowed to one lane during water line relocation. In the final stages of this project, traffic may be narrowed to two lanes at times while the street is overlaid with asphalt.

LEWIS AVENUE AND 72nd STREET: The northbound curb lane is closed from 9 am to 3 pm for five to seven days while a storm sewer is installed for the new International House of Pancakes Restaurant.

EAST 66th STREET SOUTH is closed to traffic from Yale Avenue east to Darlington Avenue (near Laureate Psychiatric Clinic & Hospital) for seven days for street repair. Those who usually use 66th Street to get to the William and Kelly medical buildings can use 65th Street. Or they can enter the St. Francis Hospital parking lot from either 61st Street or Yale Avenue and use the road behind St. Francis to get to the medical buildings' parking lots. To get to Laureate, motorists should use the main entrance on Yale Avenue. Residents in the Warrenton subdivision should use Hudson avenue of 61st Street to enter their neighborhood.

41st STREET AND MEMORIAL DRIVE: Workers are relocating a 48-inch water line along East 41st Street between Memorial Drive and Mingo Road. Traffic delays are possible just east of the 41st and Memorial intersection.

71st STREET AND RIVERSIDE PARKWAY: The center westbound lane on 71st Street is closed, as well as the outside westbound lane on the 71st Street bridge over the Arkansas River. Crews are building a pedestrian/bicycle trail on the north side of the bridge.

61st STREET, MEMORIAL TO SHERIDAN: 61st Street is closed between 76th East Avenue and Sheridan Road while construction crews build the retaining walls and lower the hill. 61st Street is being widened to five lanes (centerleft turn lane) between Memorial Drive and Sheridan Road.

NORTH CINCINNATI AVENUE BETWEEN JASPAR AND OKLAHOMA STREETS: Traffic has shifted to northbound lanes; crews are constructing the southbound lanes.

**Pothole repairs are in progress in these areas: Yale Avenue from Admiral to Fifth Street, and the area bounded by Apache Street, Pine Street, Lewis Avenue and Peoria Avenue.

**Pavement repairs are in progress in these areas: 36th Street North to 46th Street North, Harvard Avenue to Lewis Aveue; 61st Street to 71st Street, Sheridan Road to Yale Avenue; 36th Street North to 46th Street North, Peoria Avenue to Cincinnati Avenue and South Mingo Road between 96th Street and 101st Street.
