(Dallas-AP) -- Four Big 12 Conference schools will have moments of silence at their football games Saturday in tribute to the students who died in the bonfire logpile accident at Texas A-and-M yesterday.
Moments of silent reflection will be held prior to Oklahoma playing at Texas Tech, Oklahoma State at Baylor, Iowa State at Kansas, and Missouri at Kansas. Colorado will have tributes prior to its basketball and volleyball games.
Big 12 Conference Commissioner Kevin Weiberg says it is a time for the Big 12 community to rally around the people at Texas A-and-M. He says the conference is grateful for the spontaneous outpouring of gestures of support and kindness for Texas A-and-M.
