Russian children and adults from Muravlenko were part of a parade down Will Rogers Boulevard in Claremore. Muravlenko is Claremore's Sister City in Russia. The eleven students and four sponsors participated in a parade that marked the birthday anniversary of Will Rogers who was born in 1879. Youri Sorkine is a teacher and one of the four sponsors on the trip. Sorkine says the passion Americans have for big things is overwhelming. He says Americans like big cars, big houses and wide roads. The Russian students and teachers visited Claremore schools and attended Claremore's football game versus Tulsa Washington.
