The deadline is approaching for tornado
victims to get a rebate for building a safe room or in-ground storm shelter.

Homeowners must apply for the two-thousand-dollar rebate by November 30th.

The Oklahoma Department of Civil Emergency Management oversees the rebate program for victims of the May 3rd and 4th tornadoes.

All construction on the safe rooms must be finished by December of next year in order to receive the rebate.
