Oklahoma State University got a big boost Monday.

The school announced they have received a $2.3-million gift from Devon Energy Corporation for a new geological laboratory and to establish scholarships.

The lab will be in the Boone Pickens School of Geology at the Noble Research Center and is expected to be one of the most advanced laboratories in the nation. It will also help students and geoscientists work together on real-world projects.

The lab is set to be completed this fall.
