Delta flight cuts affect Will Rogers, Tulsa airports

UNDATED (AP) -- Oklahomans wanting to fly from Oklahoma City or Tulsa to Dallas no longer have Delta Air Lines as an option.

Delta has cut its six daily flights from Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City and five daily flights from Tulsa International Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Instead, Delta is now offering more flights from Oklahoma City and Tulsa to Atlanta, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City.

The cuts come as Delta closes its hub at Dallas-Fort Worth and reduces the number of daily flights from DFW from 250 to 66 cities down to 21 flights to its hubs in Atlanta, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City.

The changes are part of Delta's effort to save more than $5-billion a year.
