A Verdigris family is homeless after an early Monday morning fire destroys their home. Officials say the fire started about 3:30 AM.

Fire crews from Claremore and Tiawah were also called in to fight the fire that destroyed the two-story home. Efforts were hampered by the lack of a close water supply. Crews had to truck in tanks for water.

Four people including two dogs were inside the home. They all made it out safely. The cause is under investigation.
