Traffic deaths up for month, year

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of people killed on Oklahoma roads is up in December from the same time in December last year.

And the number killed in traffic accidents this year is now 73 higher than at this time in 2003.

The state Department of Public safety says 26 people have died in auto accidents this month, up from 19 at this time in December 2003.

For the year, 715 people have been killed in car crashes, up from 642 at the same time a year ago.
