Some of Tulsa's less-fortunate got a warm Thanksgiving meal thanks to the Salvation Army.
More than a thousand people showed up Thursday at the Center of Hope at 102 North Denver to enjoy the free food. The meal was made possible through cash and product donations, along with the help of dozens of volunteers.
And Tulsa’s Big Daddy's Barbeque at 4560 North Lewis held its first Thanksgiving "feed the people" dinner. The idea is to feed anyone who's hungry on the holiday, regardless of income or standing in life.
It's their way of saying thanks to the community.
