DALLAS (AP) _ Dennis Franchione can relate to people surprised by Texas A-and-M's five-game winning streak and Number 17 national ranking.

He says even he's a little surprised.

He says it was hard coming off a 4-and-8 year last season and knowing the hard work that would be needed to turn the Aggies around. That was true even after A-and-M's 20-point loss to Utah in this season's opener.

But the Aggies have been unbeaten since then, winning by an average margin of 22 points. They're tied for the Big 12 South Division lead with second-ranked Oklahoma as the only teams still undefeated in conference play after less than a month.

Texas A-and-M hosts Colorado tomorrow, while the unbeaten Sooners host Kansas. Then the Aggies and O-U play at College Station next weekend.

In other Big 12 games tomorrow, Number Eight Texas goes to Texas Tech, Baylor hosts Iowa State in a battle of the two Big 12 cellar-dwellers, and North co-leaders Missouri and Nebraska are on the road a week before playing each other. The Tigers travel to Number 22 Oklahoma State, while Nebraska visits Kansas State.
