The reported kidnapping of a baby outside a Tulsa grocery store launched a statewide Amber Alert. It turned out to be a hoax.

The mother told police she'd gone into an Albertson's store on North Peoria to use the ATM. She said she left her 2-month-old son inside her van. 17 minutes later, she says she discovered her van and child were missing. Tulsa Police soon found the van a half mile away, with no sign of the infant.

The Amber Alert was sounded and police began working the case as a kidnapping. The search lasted for more than two hours, until police called it off when the mother admitted it was a hoax. Tulsa Police Captain Dennis MacDonnell: "She has told us that the baby was in Kansas and that the baby was not kidnapped."

The mother, Lisa Miller, also goes by the name Lisa Grant. She could face charges for filing a false police report.
