TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Oral Roberts sweeps Valparaiso 7-2 and 8-0 in a Mid-Continent Conference baseball doubleheader.

Kelly Minissale and Chad Rothford each homered and had three RBIs apiece in the first game yesterday for ORU, which moves to 24-14 overall and 7-0 in league play.

Dallas Cawiezell homered twice, providing Valparaiso with its only runs.

ORU starter Jerry Sullivan allowed seven hits and struck out six in six innings, and Chance Chapman threw three innings of one-hit relief to record his fifth save.

In the second game, Jerry Hefner threw a four-hit shutout for the Golden Eagles, striking out 11. It was his second straight complete-game shutout.

Brendan Duffy went 4-4 with two RBIs and scored three runs to lead ORU's offense, while Adam Younger went 2-3 with two RBIs.

The Crusaders ended the game by hitting into a triple play. Valparaiso is now 14-23 overall and 3-4 in league play.
