AP-OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State regents today unanimously approved Oklahoma State University's request to offer a bachelor's degree in elementary education at its Tulsa campus, despite objections by Northeastern State University.
State higher education Chancellor Glen Johnson says the regents' staff recommended approval of the request due to demand for the program.
Northeastern State believes the program duplicates one it offers at its Broken Arrow campus that it had intended to expand.
