OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- About 2,000 students, parents and guests are expected to attend ceremonies Monday at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City honoring the 2007 Oklahoma Academic Scholars.
More than 2,100 students have been tapped as 2007 Oklahoma Academic Scholars. The earned the distinction by either accumulating a minimum grade point average of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale or by being in the top 10 percent of their respective classes.
All of the scholars also have achieved at least a 27 composite score on the ACT or scored a combined reading and mathematics score of 1220 on the SAT.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
