HOUSTON (AP) Roy Oswalt pitched a 5-hitter and Carlos Lee and Lance Berkman homered to lift Houston to a 5-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Saturday night.
It was the Astros' first win of the season.
Oswalt (1-0) struck out 4 and allowed 1 run, earning his 99th career win.
Lee, who was signed to a six-year, $100 million contract in the off-season, hit his first home run in the 6th inning.
Oswalt didn't allow a hit until the 3rd inning on Adam Kennedy's double that landed in the left field corner. Gary Bennett followed with an RBI-single that made it 3-1.
Anthony Reyes (0-1) allowed 5 hits and 3 runs in 5 innings in his season debut. The 25-year-old struck out 3 and walked 1.
