TAMPA (AP) -- Stan Heath took over as the South Florida men's basketball coach Tuesday calling it a great opportunity. The 42-year old gets the job just a week after being fired at Arkansas after six seasons. He had two consecutive 20 win seasons with the Razorbacks and took them to the NCAA tournament three times, but lost in the first round the last two years.

Heath takes over a program that went 12-18 last season, hasn't won 20 games in a season in 17 years and hasn't been to the NCAA tournament in 15.
