UNION CITY , Okla. (AP) -- The state fire marshal was at the scene Sunday of a house fire in Union City that killed two young children. Authorities say 5-year-old Chayton Nightwalker and his 3-year-old sister Teal Nightwalker died when fire swept through the home Saturday.
A 21-month-old toddler and the children's mother, 24-year-old Jennie Nightwalker, survived the blaze and were hospitalized.
Jennie Nightwalker was listed in serious condition Sunday at Integris Baptist Medical Center and the child was held for observation at The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center.
Authorities say a lit candle may have sparked the blaze.
