OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Fewer motorists are dying in traffic accidents on Oklahoma's roads and highways this year.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that 44 people have been killed this year on state roadways through February 11th. During the same time last year, 75 people were killed.

Traffic deaths also are down for the month of February. The OHP reports 19 people died through February 11th in 2006, compared to just 11 deaths so far this year.
