ENID, Okla. (AP) -- Personnel at Vance Air Force Base in Enid were busy firing shotguns Thursday morning to scare off a potential danger to flight operations.
Base officials say the shotguns were used to scare away flocks of geese that gather near the north end of a runway and pose a threat to planes taking off and landing.
