TULSA, Okla. (AP) Calvin Walls scored 13 points and Tulsa used a 2nd-half run to overpower Lamar 78-64 Friday night.
Walls also grabbed 10 rebounds for his first double-double as the Golden Hurricane (5-1) out-rebounded Lamar 58-31.
Lamar only trailed 34-32 at the break, but had fallen behind 42-37 in the 2nd half when Tulsa's size advantage began to take over.
6’11†Jerome Jordan and 6’8†Jamel McLean combined for 11 points during a 22-7 spurt.
Tulsa also got a pair of 3-pointers from Mark Hill and one from Ben Uzoh in the run, which gave TU a 64-44 lead with 8:33 left.
The Cardinals (3-4) never came closer than the final margin.
Lamar Sanders scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for Lamar, while Todd Currye added 15 points.
