TULSA, Okla. (AP) Baskets by Ken Tutt and Adam Liberty in the final 2 minutes help Oral Roberts survive a frigid-shooting 2nd half and defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 54-51 Tuesday night.
Caleb Green had 21 points and 12 rebounds for ORU, which was coming off a victory at then 3rd ranked Kansas last Wednesday. Tutt added 15 points in the Golden Eagles' home opener.
David Dees paced Louisiana-Lafayette with 18 points and Ross Mouton scored 16.
ORU was 3-21 from the field after halftime before Liberty scored on a short jumper with 1:58 left to give the Golden Eagles a 51-47 advantage.
With ORU leading by 1 point, Tutt sank a 15 foot jumper with 32 seconds left to make it 54-51.
Willie Lago missed a potential tying 3-pointer with :04 seconds left and Yemi Ogunoye grabbed the rebound for ORU.
ORU moves to 2-1 despite making only one of its 17 3-point attempts.
