The Union Redskins’ season is officially over. The Muskogee Roughers dethroned the defending state champs in the first round of high school football playoffs, Friday night.

Union was off to a good start, leading 10-0 early in the game. But, Muskogee turned it on in the 2nd half with a touchdown, 17 seconds later a Union fumble put the ball back in Rougher territory, 13-10 Muskogee. Union just couldn’t comeback. Final score, 20-18.


Broken Arrow’s playoff dreams are now broken. The Jenks Trojans rolled over the Tigers, 28-7 in the first round.

An exciting game in Stillwater. The #6 Rams were a favorite to beat the #10 Pioneer’s, but Stillwater fought hard to the end. Unfortunately for them, it wasn’t enough, after triple over-time Owasso won, 24-23.

The Hornet’s of Booker T. Washington were favored to beat Enid, but that didn’t matter to Enid. The Plainsmen continue post-season play with a 34-12 win over the Hornets.

East Central is in search of another 5A title. The Cardinals easily defeated Durant, 39-7.

Other 5A action, the Rogers Ropers were no problem for the Bixby Spartans. Bixby wins, 45-12.

In Class 4A Glenpool shuts out the Guymon 28-0.

Wagoner keeps their record perfect. The Bulldogs are now 11-0 after beating the Hilldale Hornets, 21-7.

2A playoffs, Cascia Hall cashes in with a big win. Cascia improves to 11-0 on the season with a 52-7 win over the Westville Yellowjackets.

Sperry had the "key" to victory; Sperry rolls over Keys 54-8.

In Class A Pawnee improves to 11-0, defeating Drumright 53-20.
