MANGUM, Okla. (AP) _ Randolph Dial, a convicted killer who spent more than a decade on the run with the wife of a former deputy warden, will be tried on an escape charge for fleeing the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite in 1994, a judge decided Thursday.

The case will be set for a jury trial, Greer County District Judge Richard Darby decided. No trial date was immediately set.

District Attorney John Wampler has yet to announce whether he will charge Bobbi Parker with any crime. Dial fled the reformatory with her.

Law enforcement officers acting on a tip found Dial in a mobile home near Campti, Texas, in April 2005. Parker was found nearby unharmed, working on a chicken farm.

After his capture, Dial said he kidnapped Parker at knifepoint then forced her to live as a hostage all those years. So far he only faces a charge of escaping from Department of Corrections custody.
