A Tulsa serial robbery suspect is in custody.
Wednesday morning, Tulsa Police got a lead on Daniel Stegeman. They followed him to a convenience store where they arrested him. Robbery detectives suspect Stegeman committed seven convenience store robberies over the last couple of weeks.
One store clerk positively identified him. Tulsa Police believe he is the man seen in a surveillance video from a robbery at the 2-Go Food Mart last week. The description of the suspect and the circumstances are similar in each case.
They say the man pretended to be a customer, taking items up to the register, before flashing his weapon and demanding money. In one case, the man said he was sorry for doing the robbery and said he was just trying to feed his family.
