OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) -- Two teenagers have died in Okmulgee in a fiery one-car crash.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says they died when their car overturned and burst into flames when a tire blew out shortly after noon Saturday.
The driver, 16-year-old Christopher Troy Fuller of Okmulgee, and a passenger, 15-year-old Kendon Larue, also of Okmulgee, were pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say they were pinned in the vehicle for about two hours and were burned beyond recognition.
Two other teens were thrown from the vehicle as it repeatedly overturned and were admitted to area hospitals in fair condition.
Troopers say the vehicle careened off the roadway when the tire blew. It struck a railroad crossing sign and a fence before overturning about four times and bursting into flames.
