The 10th-annual Race for the Cure took Tulsa by storm Saturday morning, as 7,500 participants blew through the streets.

Supporters and survivors ran and walked a 5-mile span that started at the Cityplex towers Saturday. More than 10,000 fans stood by to cheer them on.

The race raises money for breast cancer research as well as early detection education.

The Race for the Cure Foundation began in 1982 and since then has raised more than $750-million for breast cancer research and treatment.

Tulsa’s race raised $546,000 last year.
