OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahomans who are planning to spend Labor Day weekend at a state lake are being warned to watch out for low water levels.
Cooler temperatures are expected to bring thousands to lakes and state parks this weekend but an ongoing drought has lake levels low which creates dangers on the water.
The dry conditions have exposed stumps, sand bars and other hazards that create dangerous problems for boaters.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper James Watson says some lakes are as much as ten feet below normal.
