OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A program sponsored by pharmaceutical companies could help more than 400,000 Oklahomans who have little or no insurance coverage for prescription drugs

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance of Oklahoma program will low income people to 475 public and private programs that provide about 2,000 different types of medicine at little or no cost.

Phil Woodward with the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association says his group will work to spread the word about the program. The program is linked to a national drug assistance program that began in April.
