GUYMON, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities say a fired Texas County sheriff's deputy who faces child pornography charges was apparently motivated by money.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says agents believe former Deputy James Bishop of Hooker was being paid for posting sexually explicit photos of an 8-year-old girl on the Internet.
Bishop was arrested Friday after a week-long investigation that began when the OSBI received a tip from a Colorado man about the photos. He's being held in the Beaver County jail in $500,000 bond.
Bishop is to make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon in Texas County District Court and District Attorney Mike Boring says charges of child exploitation are likely.
