TULSA, Okla. (AP) Cory Aldridge had three RBI's and Wichita pitchers quashed a late Tulsa rally to seal a 10-8 Texas League victory over the Drillers.
The Wranglers were up 10-6 in the eighth inning when Tulsa's Doug Bernier hit a sacrifice fly off reliever Trae McGill to score Jayson Nix.
Aaron McNeal managed to hit a single off reliever Barry Armitage to bring the score to 10-8, but Armitage preserved the victory by striking out Corey Slavik.
Wichita never trailed, getting a three-run homer from Aldridge in the first inning for a 4-0 advantage.
The Drillers rallied in the fourth inning, getting a three-run homer by Bernier.
