The Tulsa County District Attorney's office plans to file charges Monday against Gary Graham. Graham is still in the Tulsa County jail. He's being held without bond on 38 different complaints, including rape, burglary and kidnapping.
News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright says court records show Graham's DNA matched DNA found at eight different sexual assalt scenes.
A Crimestoppers tip last October combined with the efforts of the serial rapist task force, helped Tulsa Police make an arrest on Monday.
So, what happens to the six officers on the task force now that a suspect has been caught? The Tulsa Police Department announced Friday those officers will be added to the current armed robbery task force.
The armed robbery task is also six officers and started February 14th. It was created to do something about all the recent robberies. The squad has already arrested a number of violent suspects and recovered illegal guns.
Task force assignments last for 60 days. So, when this one expires in mid-April, the 12 officers will be divided between the three police divisions to work whatever big crimes pop up.
Tulsa Police Deputy Chief Mark McCrory: "Yes, we can target high crime areas and high crime people, the worst bad guys, but, it also allows officers with contacts in neighborhood groups to work crimes specific to those neighborhoods."
