OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Another wintry mix of precipitation slickened Oklahoma roads today, resulting in dozens of accidents and leaving motorists and vehicles stranded across the state.
Authorities say the mix of sleet, freezing rain and light snow was a contributing factor in at least four fatality accidents since Friday.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until 6 p-m today for most of central, south-central and northeast Oklahoma.
Forecasters say the mixed precipitation continues to push east this afternoon and is expected to move out of the state overnight.
An Arctic cold front that moved into the state last week combined with warmer, moist air pushing up from the south over the weekend to result in the mixture of precipitation.
