WILBURTON, Okla. (AP) _ Two Hartshorne teenagers are in critical condition Saturday after the car they were riding in ran off a Latimer County highway, rolled three times and caught on fire.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 16-year-old Michael Smallwood and 14-year-old Bobby Graham were in critical condition at an Arkansas hospital.
The patrol says Smallwood was eastbound on US 270 near Wilburton about 1:15 Saturday afternoon when his car ran off the highway, hit a fence, rolled three times and caught on fire.
The two teens were ejected from the vehicle and transported to St. Edwards Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas, in critical condition.
The accident comes less than two weeks after a fatal accident near Hartshorne that killed two high school students.
