TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The Muscogee (Creek) Nation will break ground next week on a new casino in Tulsa that will be the state's largest.
The tribe plans 3,300 electronic machines, 50 gaming tables and several restaurants in the 285,000 square foot casino. It's to open in early 2007.
Houston-based Nevada Gold and Casinos is developing the project and will manage the casino for 12 percent of net profits.
This will be the third large casino in the Tulsa area since 2004.
The Chickasaw Nation's WinStar casino on Interstate 35 near the Texas state line is currently the largest in the state.
