OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three road construction workers -- including one from Nebraska -- are hospitalized after being hit by a car as they worked on a turnpike in Oklahoma City.
The crash happened on the Kilpatrick Turnpike shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Police say Oscar Guerra of Lexington, Nebraska, and Henry Cisneros of Midland, Missouri, were taken to the OU Medical Center in critical condition. Jeremy Holkam of Oklahoma City is reported in serious condition.
Troopers say the three were working on westbound lanes when they were hit by a car driven by Jerry Dudley of Oklahoma City.
Dudley was not injured, but was arrested.
The turnpike was closed for several hours after the accident.
