EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- Edmond police detonated two explosive devices that were discovered Monday morning in a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.
An employee of the store found the pair of explosives in the pharmacy department. Police said they were about the size of shotgun shell casings.
The devices were taken to the manager’s office by store employees and police were called at 11:07 AM.
Edmond investigators loaded the homemade explosives into a bomb squad vehicle and took them to the firing range for disposal around noon. Nobody was injured.
Police cordoned off the area where the devices were found, but the store was not evacuated.
