The Tulsa School Board has offered Doctor Michael Zolkoski a contract. But it's still less than what he's currently making in Texas.

The school board offered Zolkoski $200,000 a year to take over the top job. TPS is the largest district in the state, but Zolkoski makes more as superintendent in Brownsville, Texas.

The school board sweetened the deal by adding a $50,000 bonus each year if Zolkoski meets performance goals. Plus, if Zolkoski stays the full length of his contract with TPS, meets certain goals and doesn't look for another job, he'll earn a $160,000 bonus.

Zolkoski will meet with the school board in Brownsville. Before he can sign with TPS, he has to find a way out of his obligations in Texas.
