TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ University of Tulsa offensive tackle Jeff Perrett is being named one of 54 preliminary candidates for the 2006 Outland Trophy.

The Outland is presented each year by the Football Writers Association of America to the top interior lineman in college football.

The trophy has been awarded each year since 1946 and is named for the late John Outland who was an offensive lineman at Pennsylvania.

The winner will be announced December 7th.
