TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) -- A 21-year-old Cherokee County man will stand trial for murder in the shooting death of an elderly couple.
Johnny Keith Potts is charged in Cherokee County District Court in Tahlequah with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 74-year-old Junior Ryals and 65-year-old Elsie Ryals.
About 15 members of the Ryals' family were in the courtroom for Monday's preliminary hearing.
