A follow-up on the suspect arrested in connection with the brutal beating of a 62-year-old Fort Gibson woman.
Fort Gibson Police say they were led to their suspect because he dropped his wallet outside the victim's home. Police say 26 year old Terry James [pictured] confessed to bludgeoning Judy Metz with a croquet mallet on the head and face while she slept last Saturday.
Metz passed out from the beating, but woke up and was able to make it next door and get help.
She remains in intensive care at a local hospital
