TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The Tulsa school board will meet Saturday to select semifinalists as it searches for a new superintendent.

The board will select five semifinalists to bring to Tulsa for interviews beginning next Monday.

The board plans to meet again May 17th to select two finalists and officials hope to choose the new superintendent will be on the job by mid-July.

Current Superintendent David Sawyer has announced plans to retire June 30th.
