WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- As part of its cuts at a plant in Wichita, Boeing plans to bring about 20 jobs to Oklahoma City.
The Chicago-based company says it will bring management of its KC-135 program and several light engineering jobs to Oklahoma City.
In Wichita, Boeing is laying off about 900 workers as it focuses its plant on military 747 and wide-body aircraft modifications and upgrades, also continuing its engineering center.
Boeing said it will issue 60-day layoff notices Tuesday to 360 workers. Another 240 Wichita employees will lose their jobs by the end of July and 300 more jobs will be cut in mid-November.
