Tulsa police are searching for the man they said broke into a house then carjacked and beat someone.
Police said after the carjacking, the man crashed the stolen vehicle into another vehicle then ran away. Police said that suspect is considered dangerous.
Police spent several hours searching an area near 15th and Memorial. Tulsa police said the suspect pulled a person out of a car near 21st and Memorial and beat him up before taking that car and crashing into another vehicle about a mile away near 15th and memorial.
Charlotte Osborne said she was at a car dealership when she saw the crash.
“The guy was coming behind a lady over here on 15th street, swerving in and out of traffic when he swerved around her. He hit the lady in the red car, which sent him flying through the intersection," said Osborne.
Osborne said she saw that man take off running away from the crash and into this neighborhood. Police said a witness took a photo of the suspect.
"He ran down the fence through the parking lot. My husband and all the guys that work here chased him across the parking lot. He jumped the fence and took off," said Osborne.
Police believe that same suspect was also involved in a home burglary minutes before the carjacking Near 15th and Memorial, where the man ran into the neighborhood. Tulsa police set up a perimeter, launched their helicopter and at a least one K9 team on the ground.
Some officers even went door to door looking for the suspect.
"We are worried about this guy. He's already done one violent felony. To take a car, it’s highly likely that he would commit another violent felony to take somebody's car in this neighborhood or get in their house," said Sgt. Joel Ward with the Tulsa Police Department.
As police continue to search, Osborne said she just hopes Police find their suspect and arrest him.
Tulsa police said that man is considered to be dangerous. If you see the suspect, do not approach him and call 911.
