The Oklahoma State Department of Health has released new numbers that show how Oklahomans are dealing with the fight against COVID-19 at nursing homes.
The statistics show important details, like how many people have recovered from virus.
The state health department said that number is 790 people in Oklahoma. "Recovered" means those patients are not in the hospital, and survived the illness at least 14 days after symptoms started.
As of Thursday there were nearly 1,700 confirmed cases across the state, 814 are still considered active cases.
There have been 80 deaths from COVID-19 in the state and the elderly population is really suffering.
More than 20 percent of deaths come from long term care or nursing home cases and the average age of those dying is around 73.
This new data also takes a look at the number of COVID-19 patients that each nursing home has.
Grace Living Center in Norman has the most confirmed cases. 47 of their residents and five staff members have the virus, bringing their total to 52 confirmed cases. In total seven people have died there.
