An argument turned deadly Sunday night after a man was shot around 6 p.m.
The shooting took place near 49th West Avenue and Charles Page Boulevard. Tulsa police have ruled the case a homicide, the city’s 26th of the year.
Authorities said the victim was actually the harasser and was arguing with the suspect throughout the day leading up to the shooting.
Tulsa Police Department Lt. Marcus Harper said the victim was shot twice in the torso. The shooter, who lives at the home, was taken to TPD headquarters for questioning.
"The victim doesn’t live at the home but arrived causing a pretty major disturbance multiple times today,” Harper said. “Patrol officers did a good job of trying to track him down to stop what eventually ended up happening out here but were not able to find him until he eventually came back out and was shot by the homeowner here.”
Investigators said witnesses have come forward.
Tulsa police have not said what the victim and shooter were arguing about and have not released their names.
