A local barbecue restaurant has paid more than $55,000 in back wages, after a federal investigation determined they violated labor laws.
The U.S. Department of Labor said the operator of Burn Co Barbecue was paying employees at the Tulsa and Jenks locations a flat daily rate, regardless of the hours they worked.
Investigators said the restaurant also wasn't paying those workers overtime, and wasn't reporting all the hours worked by their employees.
We reached out to the owner of Burn Co, but he declined to talk to us.
